On October 18, 2015, a total of 26 walkers consisting of Golden Crest staff members and their families, completed the 5k Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease held in Frederick, MD. Golden Crest staff gladly traveled from the Hampstead/Westminster areas to support the cause. “It feels good to contribute and make a difference in the communities around us,” reports Lisa Meekins, Human Resources Director at Golden Crest Assisted Living. Resident Aides that work for Golden Crest Assisted Living receive on-going training on Alzheimer’s and learn about the disease progression and how to best care for those individuals. This is the first year that Golden Crest has participated in the walk. Golden Crest plans to make this a tradition!
