Assisted Living Managers are responsible for the effective management of the day-to-day operations and services provided in Assisted Living. Ensures that residents receive quality care and exceptional customer service by dedicated and competent staff and the goals of the company are met. The Manager works under the direction of the Delegating Nurse, Executive Director, and the Chief Executive Officer. The Manager handles day-to-day management including operational problems and situations.
Resident Assistant
The Resident Assistant or Resident Aide provides non-professional care to facility residents, including helping with meals, assisting in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment which is conducive to the best interests and welfare of the residents.
They give assistance and services to all residents including: administers medications, takes vital signs, provides nourishments per policy and/or direction of the Delegating Nurse. Resident Assistants help residents, if needed, to dress themselves, bathing, serving meals, escorting residents, follow all safety precautions in caring for residents, encourage residents to participate in recreation and activities.
Assisted Living Chef
The Chef provides overall management, direction, preparation, and food services to residents. They provide quality food services including, but not limited to preparing planned menu items, kitchen cleanliness, and equipment maintenance. An Assisted Living Chef also: manages the kitchen and all meal preparation, oversees the compliance of the kitchen and menu, is responsible for compliance as it relates to the special dietary needs of all residents. They are responsible for inventory and purchasing, ensuring all food is properly handled, labeled, portioned, and stored.
Activities Director
The Activities Director is responsible for providing maintenance, empowerment, and supportive activities for all residents. Planning and leading daily activities programs encompassing all residents. Communicate with all facility staff and to effectively supervise volunteers, and coordinate community involvement. Activities Directors also design and monitor appropriate programs to meet the day-to-day needs and interests of each resident, encourage self-care and maintenance of an optional level of psychosocial functioning, create a monthly activities calendar that encompasses a wide variety of programs, and supervise volunteers.
