Results are in! Golden Crest Assisted Living residents entered crayon art and potato bracelets in the senior exhibits at the Carroll County 4-H fair in Westminster on Thursday, August 4, 2016. After the judging concluded, Grand Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons were both awarded to Golden Crest residents from one of their Hampstead Locations. The Grand Champion ribbon went to a colorful canvas. The residents glued crayons to the canvas and then melted the wax using a hair dryer into the shape of a heart (pictured above) .The seniors were thrilled to win the contest. A few of the residents rode over on the Golden Crest bus and walked around to view all of the other exhibits that were entered into the contest among other things while they were visiting. They are already starting to talk about what they will create for next year’s 4-H fair!
